More about Emma, the force behind Mini Moments-

Emma is fully qualified and insured to provide families with support as a Birth & Postnatal Doula and teach Birthlight™ Pregnancy Yoga, Infant (Baby) Massage, Baby Yoga and Rhythm Kids®. She is the Gloucestershire Doula UK representative and a member of IPTI. Her training has been chosen for the quality and the commitment to continuing professional development that each training provider was able to offer. Emma also sits on Gloucestershire’s Maternity Liaison Services Committee (MLSC), representing parents and fellow Doulas and other maternity professionals. She is also a volunteer for Cheltenham NCT representing parent users on two Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust committees (Maternity Patient Information Group and the Maternity Forum).

Emma’s antenatal training (Pregnancy Yoga for Maternity Professionals and Birth & Postnatal Doula) was done with Birthlight™ and Nurturing Birth. She continues to enhance her training by attending CPD workshops and courses with Birthlight™, other providers and is a member of Doula UK. All of the training providers that Emma chooses are committed to enhancing and supporting the wellbeing of women and their partners through the journey of pregnancy and birth, and to help parents make a smooth transition into parenthood and relax in shared enjoyment of their new life together. Birthlight™ Pregnancy Yoga has professional accreditation with the Royal College of Midwives and FEDANT.

Her postnatal training ranges from premature babies through to babies that are just learning to crawl (Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Rhythm Kids®) was with Touch-Learn Ltd who are accredited by the Guild of Sensory Development, University of Wolverhampton, CThA and IPTI. This training provider was chosen as they cover aspects on their course which many others do not include and it was felt that these qualities were vital in supporting parents with every aspect that may arise during the time the parent and baby attended the courses.

Emma holds an enhanced DBS certificate (previously known as a CRB) and she is a qualified teacher (PGCE) with over 13 years of experience in education. Alongside this she has coached a wide variety of aged children and adults in a variety of activities. Emma has two sons, Jake and Scott who are very different characters and who continue to provide a lot of inspiration and experience that have enhanced the classes. Emma also has a BSc (Hons) in Biology with Food Science and Nutrition.
